Be myyyyy Otis Stein…. Nope. Not quite the same.

Independent comic book creator Matthew Vealy recently launched a crowdfunding campaign for issue 3 of Otis Stein, the latest 40-page installment in the horror adventure comic series.

Written by Vealy and illustrated by Carlos F. Rodriguez, Otis Stein is a modern reimagining of Mary Shelley’s classic monster tale Frankenstein. Like the book that inspired it, Otis Stein is not intended for younger audiences.

Here’s the official pitch taken from the Otis Stein Kickstarter campaign page:

Otis finds himself once again facing Sven and the monsters at his command. But this time Otis is prepared. Armed with a bottle of tequila, a double-barreled shotgun and a sense of reckless abandon, Otis will have to fight for his life and freedom. Meanwhile the chaos has caught the attention of more than just the local authorities, as the local Sherriff calls in for reinforcements.

Backers can get a digital version of all 3 issues of Otis Stein for $6, while physical copies of issue 3 alone start at $12. If you have more cash to spend, you can also receive the following tchotchkes and extras:
