New “NieR Re[in]carnation” Trailer Shows Off Turn-Based Combat

Square Enix has released a new gameplay trailer for NieR Re[in]carnation, which is coming soon to iOS and Android in Japan. The footage seems to confirm that the game is, in fact, a turn-based RPG, complete with turn-based combat, enemies who attack in waves, gear/familiars that look like teddy bears, and both an overworld and 2D segments for players to traverse.

Nier Automata sales top 3 million copies worldwide

On Wednesday, Square Enix announced via Twitter that NieR: Automata has sold 3 million copies worldwide, including both physical and digital sales. While those aren’t ground-breaking numbers, they have to be encouraging to Square Enix as the original NieR (aka NieR: Gestalt in some territories) sold for a combined total of less than a million copies on PS3 and Xbox
