Flying Sparks Indiegogo campaign ends successfully; raises 452% of its goal
Ending on the same night as the massively successful Red Rooster: Golden Age, the Indiegogo campaign for Flying Sparks: A Hero and Villain in Love ended successfully, raising 452% of its original goal for a total of more than $27 thousand.
Flying Sparks is planned as an ongoing superhero comic series described as having an intense personal drama similar to the Batman/Catwoman relationship. The series is written by Jon Del Arroz (For Steam and Country) and features illustrations by Jethro Morales (Dejah Thoris, The Green Hornet) and a cover by the Jawbreakers: Lost Souls art team of Jon Malin and Brett R. Smith.
At $27 thousand, the Flying Sparks campaign achieved several of its stretch goals, including a digital 8-page prequel story and an exclusive art print of the story’s heroine, Meta-Girl, illustrated by Timothy Lim (Black Hops).
If you’re upset that you missed he original crowdfunding period, keep your chin up! The Flying Sparks Indiegogo page has temporarily transitioned to an on-demand store. At the time of this writing, every backing tier is still available, with digital copies starting at just $12.
