Jon Malin’s “Godlike” Hits $100k on Day One

Over the weekend, veteran comic book creator Jon Malin launched a crowdfunding campaign for Godlike, his first new IP since the launch of Graveyard Shift in 2018. The Godlike campaign is already off to a very good start, having raised more than $100k in it’s first 24 hours.

Written and illustrated by Malin (Jawbreakers: Lost Souls) and featuring colors by Dash Martin and lettering by the prolific Eric Weathers (Battle Brick Road), Godlike is a 48-page, heroic sci-fi fantasy story set in the distant future.

Here’s the official plot synopsis taken from the Godlike Indiegogo campaign page:

In the far future a new Dark Age is upon us. One Man must remember his past to save the last of Humanity on a distant, dying world. In an age where magic and super science are one, haunted by visions of a bygone age and a mythical world known as “EARTH”, pursued by a super powered alien race and their traitorous Human acolytes. To kill a God, our champion must risk everything to harness the powers of THE ROMULUS, a legend from the distant past, to become GODLIKE, and save us all!

Backers can get a copy of Godlike for $25. If you have more money to spend, you can also pick up the following:

  • Multiple copies of the book
  • A signed copy of the book
  • A trading card
  • A Godlike supplemental book
  • Visions art book #2
  • An original sketch
  • Godlike t-shirt

It is also worth noting that there is an additional shipping charge starting at $12 (!) for those in the United States.

Congratulations to Malin, Martin and Weathers on a successful launch.
