Crowdfunding campaign for issue 1 of “Brutas the Badass” ends successfully; closing in on $30k

Early Monday morning, the Indiegogo campaign for Brutas the Badass ended successfully, raising over 300% of its original goal for a total of over $28 thousand.* With those numbers, the Brutas the Badass campaign met two stretch goals: a square binding for all physical backers and hiring a colorist to get the book printed and delivered more quickly.

Brutas the Badass is described as a bombastic bounty hunter, similar to DC’s Lobo and Marvel’s Deadpool. Written by Nasser Rabadi (Stardust) and illustrated by Donal DeLay (Death of Love), this first issue is intended to be the launching point for a new, ongoing series.

Sad you missed out? You can still buy into the Brutas the Badass project as the Indiegogo page remains an in-demand store for the time being. Visit the full Brutas the Badass Indiegogo campaign page here if you’re interested. At the time of this writing, the campaign is less than a thousand dollars shy of meeting its $30 thousand stretch goal, which would deliver a set of trading cards to all backers, so there may be even more to look forward to.

Congratulations to Donal DeLay, Nasser Rabadi and everyone else involved in the Brutas the Badass project.
