“Iron Sights” returns to Indiegogo for a limited time to support suicide prevention charity

Earlier this week, Richard C. Meyer brought Iron Sights back to Indiegogo for a limited campaign in support of The Trevor Project, a suicide prevention charity focused on LGBTQ youth.

Iron Sights is a 120-page graphic novel written by Richard C. Meyer and Carlos Ivan Silva with art by Ibai Canales, Iron Sights is the story of an Iraq War veteran nicknamed “Ramadi” who inadvertently starts a border war when he rescues a beautiful woman from a Mexican cartel.

The original crowdfunding campaign for Iron Sights ended in August. As part of the original print run to fulfill the first campaign, Richard Meyer printed an extra 150 copies. Perhaps taking a cue from Ethan Van Sciver’s Cyberfrog: Blood Honey, which returned to Indiegogo a few weeks ago and raised $10 thousand for the Orchid cancer foundation, Meyer has elected to donate $10 thousand to The Trevor Project if the new campaign succeeds.

As there are only 150 books to work with, this new campaign is strictly limited to only 150 backers. For $100, all backers receive the Iron Sights Premium Package, which includes a signed copy of Iron Sights, a Splatto Comics T-shirt, a poster of the cover art by Kelsey Shannon, and all shipping – even international shipping – is included.

If you’re interested, you’d better act fast. At the time of this writing, there are only 52 copies still available.
