Yesterday, the crowdfunding campaign for the first two issues of Mari Sue ended successfully, raising over $9 thousand on Indiegogo. Written and illustrated by George Alexopoulos, Mari Sue is an anime-inspired comic series described as an action comedy featuring “exo-suit battles, bizarre creatures, a fine cast of characters to befriend, dastardly enemies to despise, and dozens of rich settings you’ll want to visit.”

Sad that you missed out on the crowdfunding period? You’re not completely out of luck, yet. Like many other Indiegogo campaigns, the Mari Sue crowdfunding page has transitioned to an in-demand store for a limited time, so you can still buy into the project – if you don’t dawdle, that is.

Congratulations to Alexopoulos and the rest of the Mari Sue team. You can visit the full Mari Sue Indiegogo page here.
